IFS Supports Quitunda Village’s 7th Anniversary Celebration
IFS donated food supplies to help the Quitunda community in Palma District, Cabo Delgado Province, mark seven years since the village’s establishment.
On 5 August 2026, the community of Quitunda Village, in Palma District, Cabo Delgado Province, gathered to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the village’s founding. The event, held at the Quitunda Village Community Field, drew an estimated 3,000 participants and was organised by the Quitunda Community Committee.
The festival is an important date on the local calendar, aimed at promoting social cohesion, celebrating and preserving local culture, and strengthening relationships between the community, the Defence and Security Forces, and the companies and projects operating in Palma District. It also creates a platform for dialogue between these groups, and an opportunity to recognise local artists and talent.
IFS Africa was invited by the Quitunda Community Committee to support the celebration and contributed the following food supplies:
• 715 kg of assorted food products
• 309 litres of assorted food products
• 1,200 units of soft drinks
“IFS is always committed and invested to help and support local communities,”
