Sourcing Manager
IFS Support Office – Umhlanga
Purpose of the Role:
To develop and institutionalise a 1-3 year sourcing and vendor management strategy for both operational and capex procurement.
To set up sourcing agreements for all operational and capex stock.
To ensure market competitiveness between suppliers.
To manage contract adherence and tender processes.
To drive sustainability, SHREQ and BEEE objectives across the supplier base.
To manage supplier reliability to the point of IFS warehouse or site delivery.
To drive increased contract coverage and spend across the Group and across the categories.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Vendor Management Strategy Development
Sourcing Agreements Setup: Set up a company standard sourcing agreement, with common logistics and financial terms, Ensuring majority of operational sourcing is achieved through suppliers with sourcing agreements.
Drive the analysis of in-country industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply and exploit emerging opportunities that benefit the Group.
Ensure tenders and contracts are legally compliant, accurately articulate the needs of the Group and protect business interests.
Information and Data Management and Reporting
HSEQ and Sustainability Management
Drive sustainability, risk, and compliance and BBBEE objectives.
Drive the management of external supplier relationships and contracts in collaboration with the regional and national management teams to ensure agreed service levels are met.
Lead and develop staff within the context of the Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Skills Development Act.
Required Knowledge and Qualifications:
Degree in commerce, management, supply chain management or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience within a sourcing or purchasing and commercial management environment.
Demonstrated success in developing and fostering relationships with suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance and continuous improvement.
Purchasing experience within an FMCG environment would be recommended.
Valid Code EB drivers' licence.
Willing to travel .
