Production Planner

Purpose of the Role:

  • To coordinate the production demand and supply plans by creating a forward production plan for the contract that optimally balances the forecasted participation levels with the current stock on hand and the forward supply plan as profitably as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit daily costing and issue sheets to the Contract Manager for approval.

  • Manage food costs and gross profits (GPs) in line with site budgets and SMC forecasts.

  • Plan and implement menus based on budget and client needs; convert plans into stock requirements.

  • Work with Supply Chain and Sourcing to ensure correct stock delivery.

  • Plan production to meet client demand, stock levels, and operational constraints (e.g., kitchen capacity, shift schedules).

  • Develop an 8-week (or contract-specific) production plan to balance stock levels and demand.

  • Monitor production performance, adjust plans as needed, and track delivery accuracy.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree or supply chain diploma

  • A minimum of 5 years operational experience within Supply Chain Planning, Catering or

  • SAP 

  • Menu specifications

  • Contract service levels
