Project Description

The IFS Training Academy has 23 Skills Development programmes comprising of a total of 183 modules.

At IFS, we recognise that the greatest contributors to poverty are unemployment and low skill levels. Our IFS Training Academy has been established to respond to these challenges by equipping our workforce and the communities that we operate in with the necessary skills to enhance work performance and increase employability. The IFS Training Academy seeks to facilitate skills development that allows employees to acquire and refine their technical skills and general competencies and respond to technological advancements within our sector of operation.

As a corporate citizen, IFS has committed to at least 95% local staffing. Achieving this requires us to become an integral part of the communities we operate in and a direct contributor to the skills upliftment of the community. We offer various learning opportunities to individuals who may not yet be employed with IFS or in a relevant role in another organisation. This creates a credible pipeline for the business whilst also increasing the individuals’ prospects of employment in general.

36 training videos each in English, French, Portuguese and Swahili. The videos have been rolled out to all the IFS sites as part of the training and learning processes
